I am the Professor of Creative & Entertainment Games at NHTV University in The Netherlands, working as part of the Academy of Digital Entertainment. It’s a very highly rated course, taught entirely in English, and if you’re interested in learning more about games development then I highly recommend it: http://made.nhtv.nl/

I am also a games & narrative designer with fifteen years of experience of making both indie and AAA games, and writing for games, television, webcomics, and print. Outside of university I am collaborating with SassyBot Studio to create the PINE (Playable Interactive Narrative Experience) game ‘Fragments of Him’. I also write fiction and non-fiction, and occasionally exhibit paintings. I have also been a circus performer, taught classes on martial arts, and have a PhD in cyberpunk. I enjoy encouraging others to expand games into wider fields of creativity, diversity, and narrative variety than they commonly occupy, and I often speak internationally on this subject.

  1. Hi Mata,

I’m Patrick O’Neill, a games journalist. I’m a big, big fan of Fragments of Him. Congratulations on the hugely positive reception! I’m writing to ask if you’d be interested in sitting down for an interview about the game and the team behind it.

A bit about myself: I’ve worked with organizations like like Gamespot and MLG for several years as a writer. Now, I’m attempting to launch a new web series in which I interview independent developers whose games I really like. It’s pretty simple!

The interview would be simple: we’d hop on Skype, I’d bring the game up and we’d talk as I play the game. It would be live streamed and then posted on YouTube as well. We could schedule the talk whenever you have a half hour or so to spare. This would help expose your game to even more new players.

Let me know if you’re interested!

And congratulations on the big success. It’s really well deserved.
